Our On-Site Crematory - Yoder-Culp Crematory
Yoder-Culp Crematory is proud to offer a state-of-the-art, on-site crematory—giving families the assurance that their loved one is cared for by our trusted staff every step of the way. By performing all cremations right here at our facility, we maintain the highest standards of security, respect, and attention to detail. Your loved one never leaves our care, allowing us to provide the personal oversight, privacy, and dignity that every family deserves. This commitment to integrity and transparency offers families true peace of mind during a deeply meaningful time.
Yoder-Culp Funeral Home has always taken pride in serving their families in every way possible, and since 1955, Goshen, and its surrounding communities have placed great trust in Yoder-Culp. With foresight and vision, in 2006, Yoder-Culp Funeral Home began to construct and install its own crematory so that we could ensure that your loved ones would never have to leave our care. It was a great decision, and one that our community deeply appreciated. That crematory began operating in 2007 and continues to operate today. As the community’s needs have continued to grow and change, Yoder-Culp decided to build a more modern, state-of-the art crematory that provides more space and comfort to the families we serve. Our new crematory is equipped with a viewing window so that those families who wish to witness the cremation can do so with more ease, therefore, giving the families we serve a more positive experience. Construction for the new crematory began in 2024 and will soon be open to the public.
While many think of cremation as being a more simple process than earth burial, the reality is, cremation can leave a lot of questions in people’s minds. How do I know I’m getting my loved one back? Because Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is committed to providing the highest standard of care possible, the families we serve all get a chance to be as much a part of the cremation process as they wish, this leaves no doubt in families minds that they are being treated properly and with the respect they deserve. We appreciate the trust of our community and look forward to continuing to serve all those who put their trust in Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
Traditional Funeral Service followed by Cremation
Many families find meaning and beauty in a traditional funeral service. With a traditional service combined with cremation, you can still choose to have a final viewing, visitation or wake, and a funeral service. However, instead of in-ground burial, the funeral will be followed by cremation. Depending on your wishes, the cremated remains may be either returned to your family for storage in an urn, scattered, or interred in a columbarium. This option will include fees for the funeral services as well as the fees associated with the cremation itself.
Memorial Service
The funeral service can be held in a church or any other venue the family chooses. We work with our families to design a service that honors their loved one with stories, music, or scripture. We also have life celebrants who lead services where clergy may not be chosen. Our celebrants are trained in creating experiences that help start the healing process.
Graveside Service
A graveside or committal service is typically held immediately following the funeral service, but it can also be a small, intimate gathering of those closest to you.
Permanent Memorialization

Keeping an Urn at Home
This is a common choice. Families can select the perfect urn for their loved one.

Placing the Urn in a Columbarium (aka, a "niche")
Many families find comfort in having a final resting place that they can visit.

Burying the Urn
Similar to a casket, an in-ground burial of the urn allows for a final resting place.

Return to the Earth
Some families find comfort in scattering the cremated remains at a place that was special to their loved one.
