Robert W. Ottman, Sr.

Robert “Bob” William Ottman Sr., 76, of Dunlap, passed away unexpectedly early Saturday morning, June 12, 2021, at Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born January 25, 1945 in South Bend to Arnard and Alvery (Shriner) Ottman.

He married Frances Sweet, on May 21, 1965.

She survives along with two children, Robert (Corrina) Ottman Jr. and Patricia Lynn (Andrew) Enyart; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; four brothers, Skip (Sue), Ronnie (Pat), Clinton and Eddy (Judy) Ottman; and three sisters, Sally (Errol) Thompson, Judy (Dan) Yoder and Pam Yoder.

He was preceded in death by two infant children, Penny and Gregory “Blue” Ottman; four brothers, Dick, Cook, Terry and Howard Ottman, and a sister, Josephine Mitchell.

Bob retired from United Cargo Trailers. He loved working on classic cars, especially his 1956 Ford. He enjoyed car shows, NASCAR, football and garage sales. Most of all, he enjoyed the time he spent with his family, neighbors and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 17 from 4 until the 6 p.m. memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Andrew Enyart will be officiating.
