Winona Ruth Wolfer

Winona R. Wolfer, 91, of Goshen and formerly of Lebanon, Oregon, died Friday evening, November 7, 2014, at Greencroft Healthcare Goshen. She was born Aug. 26, 1923 in Clyde Park, Montana to Roy and Caroline (Birky) Stutzman. On July 29, 1949 she married Robert L. Wolfer in Sweet Home, Oregon. He died in 2005. Survivors include two sons, Dan (Carol) Wolfer of Middlebury and Ed Wolfer of the Philippines; four grandsons and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and five siblings. An area resident since 2011, Mrs. Wolfer was a nurse and a lifelong member of the Mennonite Church. Mrs. Wolfer's wishes were to be cremated and buried beside her husband in Oregon. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 at 4 p.m., at The Meetinghouse at Greencroft, 1225 Greencroft Drive, Goshen. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the New Hope Church, 37180 Gore Drive, Lebanon, Oregon. Memorial contributions may be given to Greencroft Foundation, Resident Assistance Fund.
