Willowdean Schleining, 91, of Goshen died Friday, December 17, 2021.
Born the first daughter of Samuel S. and Rachel (Miller) Miller on December 10, 1930 in Topeka.
She is survived by her three children, Mike Schleining of Syracuse, Doug Schleining of Goshen and Colleen (Dan) Foster of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 10 grandchildren, Gabrielle, Max, Isabelle and Penelope Schleining, Michael, Skyler and Kailyn Gerber, Leah, Tessa and Asher Guengerich; two great-grandchildren, Casey and Dorian Lam and two sisters, Winifred (Aaron) Lehman of Aberta, Canada and Karon (Vance) Weaver of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Miller and two sisters, Wilma Jean “Jeannie” Schrock and Sharon Koelzer.
Willowdean drove bus for Goshen Community Schools for 40 years. She often kept track of “her kids” as they grew into adulthood. She was a member of North Goshen Mennonite Church for nearly all of her adult life.
Willowdean took great comfort in her faith, reading through the Bible every year. She had many friends she was close with and she there was nothing she wouldn’t give of herself for those she loved.
A memorial service will take place Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at Yoder-Culp funeral Home. Pastor Nathan Graber-MaCrae will officiate.
Family request mask must be worn. Memorial service will be livestream, the link will be posted on the funeral home’s website.
