Mrs Willie Marie Hern

Mrs. Willie Marie Hern, 80, of Goshen, went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, February 17, 2010, at her home.  She had been ill for the past three weeks.  She was born on January 27, 1930,  to William Chester and Perna (Holbrook) Stanley in Kayford, West Virginia.  She married Clarence “Slim” L. Hern on May 3, 1947, in Charleston, West Virginia.  Her husband and her parents preceded her in death.  Willie previously worked at Western Rubber as an inspector.  She was a member of Goshen Moose Lodge #836, the Goshen Eagles, and the Goshen DAV. She is survived by three daughters, Thressa Green, Marcella Back, and Marilyn (Keith) Johnston, all of Goshen; one son, Clarence (Lois) Hern, Jr. of Syracuse; one son-in-law, Bob Price of Goshen;  13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and one sister, Lena(Elliot) Farmer of Hamilton, Ohio.  She was preceded in death by one daughter, Etta J. Price; three brothers, Kendal, Hershel, and Carmel Stanley; and one son-in-law, Dallas D. Back.  Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday, February 19, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  A 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 20, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Kimberly Frost, her granddaughter, will officiate.  Burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
