William B. Schueren, 93, of Goshen, died Monday morning, May 26, 2008, at Goshen General Hospital in the emergency room. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, on June 19, 1914, to Herman J. and Mary A. Schueren. He married Virginia L. Hussey on July 10, 1965 in Detroit. She preceded him in death on October 12, 2002. Mr. Schueren moved to Goshen in 1999 coming from Sarasota, Florida. He was an engineer for Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1969. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen. Mr. Schueren served in World War II in the Pacific Theater with the US Army. He is survived by a daughter, Sharon (James) Condor of New Mexico; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, and a brother Harry Schueren. Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, May 30, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where a 9:30 a.m. rosary will be recited. Father Christopher Smith will officiate the 11:00 a.m. funeral mass. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or Greencroft Foundation.
