William "Fred" Pierce, 47, of Goshen, died Wednesday morning, June 12, 2013, at his home. He was born July 29, 1965 in New Castle, to James D. and Patricia E. (Butler) Pierce. On March 17, 2006 in Goshen he married Penny O'Fallon. She survives along with his father, James, and a son Josh Pierce, all of Goshen; a step-daughter, Autumn Branham, of Elkhart; two step-sons, John Paul Branham, of Utah, Christopher Branham, of South Bend; eight step-grandchildren; two sisters, Crystal (Bruce) Purvis, of Goshen, Melony Long, of White Pigeon, Michigan; and a brother, Terry Maloyed, of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his mother. Fred was a throat cancer survivor. He had worked many years at Forest River RV, more recently he had been a gas attendant at Kroger. Friends may call Friday, June 14, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. prior to a 7 p.m. memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Ted Carroll of Spirit of Faith Fellowship will officiate. His body will be cremated. Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society or United Cancer Services of Elkhart County.
