William "Bill" E. Musselman, 101, of Goshen and formerly of Millersburg, died early Monday morning, January 26, 2015, at Courtyard Health Care. He was born August 3, 1913 in Millersburg to Edward A. and Ida Mae (Byrket) Musselman. Bill graduated from Millersburg High School in 1932. He grew up on a farm which he worked for many years. He started working for a Fort Wayne building contractor in 1948. He worked for him for eight years, six of them in Miami, Florida. He returned to Indiana in 1956 and married Fern Lucile Malcolm on June 9 at the Zion United Church of Christ. He built a house near Millersburg and then worked 12 years at the Millersburg Lumber Yard. He then worked at Fidler's Cement and Gravel Plant for six years until retiring in 1980. After his wife died in 2000 he moved to Greencroft and lived there until moving to Courtyard in 2012. He was a longtime member and Sunday school teacher at Zion Community Church, which changed its name four times during his lifetime. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and reading. He is survived by nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four sisters, Hazel Rink, Mary Vance, Grace Stroup and Edith Marckel; and a brother, Lawrence Musselman. Friends may call Thursday, January 29, 2015, from 12, noon, until the 2 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Chris Howell, Zion Community Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery, Millersburg. Memorial contributions may be given to Zion Community Church of Greencroft Foundation.
