William Howard Looney, 72, went to be with our Lord Friday, September 6, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on September 11, 1951, in Wilson City, Arkansas to Dalton and Hazel (Moore) Looney.
Surviving are daughters Tabitha Freshour of Goshen, Carrie (Steve) Hiden of Pontiac, Illinois; 11 grandchildren, Kearstin, Christian, Sage, Seth, Anne, Holly, Star, Hannah, Samantha, Monica, Christian; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings James Looney, Mike (Marilyn) Looney, Margie (Jud) Flowers, Jerry (Betty) Looney, Janette Yoder, Luke Looney; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family; and his faithful and loving companion, Alena Adamaitis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sharon Marie (Irvin) Looney, and daughter Angela Alderson.
Mr. Looney drove semi-truck for over 30 years. He loved to sing karaoke, especially to Elvis’s songs. He joined his brother’s band on vocals, and enjoyed playing pool, boating, riding motorcycles and Euchre.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, September 11 at 10 a.m. also at the funeral home. Pastor Earl Bledsoe will officiate. Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery.
