William "Bill" L. Bainter, Jr.

December 3, 1946 — July 29, 2021

William “Bill” L. Bainter, Jr., 74, of Goshen, died Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Goshen Hospital.

He was born December 3, 1946 in Goshen to William L. and Florence (Snoke) Bainter.

On May 31, 1970 he married Teresa Swartzendruber at the Gospel Echos Temple, Goshen.

She survives along with a brother, Jeff Bainter, Goshen.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Linda Bainter.

Bill was a long-time member of the Pentecostal House of Prayer, where he served on the board. He loved sharing the good news of Jesus. He along with former Pastor Billy Lamb were active in giving motivational programs at Courtyard Healthcare, with preaching, sharing the Gospel, and singing for the Lord.

His working career was spent as a saw man for Smoker Craft, Inc., New Paris.

Bill had many interests including singing and all types of music. He worked at and received his ham radio operating license, and enjoyed conversations with fellow operators.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where an 11 a.m. funeral will be conducted, Monday, August 2, 2021.  Pastor Charles Barker, Zion Assembly Church of God, will officiate.

Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
