William R. Hochstetler, 77, of Warsaw and formerly of New Paris, passed away at his home Sunday morning, June 9, 2013. He had been ill since March. He was born December 23, 1935 in Bremen to Rudy J. and Anna (Borkholder) Hochstetler. He married Elsie Lapp March 28, 1964 in Hartville, Ohio. She survives along with three daughters, Theda Hochstetler of Nappanee and Rose and Gloria Hochstetler, both of Goshen; three sisters, Sylvia Hostetler of New Paris, Frieda (Robert) Schmucker of Milford and Verba (Joe) Bontrager of Nappanee; and three brothers, Leroy (Betty) Hochstetler of Milford, Ernest (Mary) Hochstetler of Nappanee and Larry (Freda) Hochstetler of New Paris. An electrician, Mr. Hochstetler worked at Fairmont Homes until retiring in 2000. A member of Pleasant Grove Conservative Mennonite Church, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching and attending auctions. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2013, and one hour prior to the 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, funeral service at Pleasant Grove Conservative Mennonite Church. The Home Ministry will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Goshen.
