William Wesley Hawn

William Wesley Hawn, 77, of Goshen died early Wednesday morning, November 1, 2006 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.   He was born in Goshen on November 30, 1928 to Ernest R. and Gracie Mae (Smith) Hawn.  He married Rosemary Alfrey in Goshen on August 21, 1948.  She survives.   A retired industrial welder, Mr. Hawn and his wife also owned and operated the Bait Bucket, a bait shop, on Big Barbee Lake in Warsaw.  He attended First United Church of Christ, Goshen.  He was a sportsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting.   Mr. Hawn is survived by his wife, Rosemary; a daughter, Penny (Terry) Reed and a son, Jerry (Melissa) Hawn, both of Goshen; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are two brothers, Phillip (Beverly) Hawn of Goshen and Marion (Ruby) Hawn of Gilmer, Texas; and two half-brothers, Mike (Carol) Hawn and Richard Hawn, both of Tulare, California.   He was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Allen Borden and a sister, Beverly Godwin.   Family and friends will meet at New Paris Cemetery for a 1:30 p.m., graveside service on Saturday, November 11, 2006.   Memorial contributions may be made to the family of William Hawn.
