William “Tom” Collins, 54, of Goshen, passed away Saturday morning, January 23, 2010, at his home.  He had been ill since 1999. He was born in Charleston, West Virginia, on September 30, 1955, to the late Orville and Bernice Faye (Abshire) Collins. He married Patricia Nettrouer on June 17, 1995 in Goshen.  She survives. Also surviving are a son, William “Anthony” Collins of Goshen; two daughters, Jennifer (Ken) McCann of Elkhart and Jessica Nettrouer of Goshen; eight grandchildren; and five siblings, Linda (Jerry) Wood of Charleston, South Carolina, Diana (Edward “buddy”) rose of Quarier, West Virginia, Rozella (Frank) Machalsky of Auke Bay, Alaska, Edward (Teresa) Collins of Petersburg, Virginia and Laniece (Ted) Zielonka of Wilmington, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Marlin Collins and a sister, Vivian Grounds. A Goshen resident since the 1980’s, Mr. Collins last worked at Syndicate Systems in their waste water treatment area.  He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Missionary Church and attended the New Paris Missionary Church. Friends may call 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at the New Paris Missionary Church where a 6:00 p.m., funeral service will be conducted.  Pastors Jim Breniser and David Hackney will officiate. Burial will follow at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
