William L. Centers, 56, died unexpectedly at his home, Saturday, May 29, 2010. He was born April 16, 1954 in Toliver, Kentucky, to the late Raymond Centers and Ruth (Neff) Centers of Dayton, Ohio. He married Brenda Hamm on September 11, 1971. She survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Tonya Myers, and Billie Jo Centers, both of North Webster, Bobbie Jo Centers of Ligonier; three grandchildren, Braxton Myers, Conner and Jayla Centers; three brothers, Gary (Pat) Centers, Wayne (Norma) Centers and Danny (Pat) Centers, all of Dayton, Ohio; and three sisters, Pam Garber of Dayton, Ohio, Sandy Davidson of Manchester, Kentucky, and Sherry Hoxing, of Washington. A Goshen resident for 36 years, Mr. Centers worked at Tenneco in Ligonier the past 12 years. He had also worked at Homecrest, Merchant Metals, Doors & Drawers and Western Rubber. He enjoyed Texas Hold’em, horseshoes, ice fishing and his three black labs, Lava, Cassie and Shotgun. Friends may call 12 to 2 p.m., Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 2 p.m. funeral service will be conducted. Pastor David Main of the Millersburg Church of Christ will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society or to Brenda Centers, which she will use for the care of animals.
