William A. “Bill” Gingerich, 88, of Goshen, died Friday afternoon, September 21, 2007, at Greencroft Healthcare. He had been in declining health the past eight and half years since suffering a stroke. He was born in Buda, Illinois, on January 5, 1919, to Albert and Josephine (Miller) Gingerich. He married Marian J. Foster, on September 21, 1940, 67 years ago, in Dennison, Iowa. She survives. A farmer, Mr. Gingerich has lived in the area since 1971, when he moved from Buda, Illinois. He also worked for Kropf Manufacturing and as a groundskeeper at Greencroft. He was a member of the Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, Goshen. He is survived by his wife, Marian; two son, Dick (Shari) Gingerich and Keith (Virginia) Gingerich, both of Goshen; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Phil Gingerich and Delbert (Joreen) Gingerich, both of Goshen. Friends will be received 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, September 23, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and 9 to 10 a.m., Monday at the church. A 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2007, will be at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, Goshen. Rev. Clair Schumm will officiate. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to the Yellow Creek Mennonite Church for Day Care.
