William R. Bailey

William R. Bailey, 69, of Goshen, died suddenly Thursday, February 16, 2012, at IU Health Goshen Hospital, although he had been in poor health for years. He was born May 14, 1942 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to William M. and Betty (Hall) Bailey. He married Theresa Maciaszek June 19, 1965 in Kansas City, Kansas. She survives. Also surviving are three children, William E. (Stacey) Bailey of Goshen, Christopher A. (Ellen) Bailey of Zionsville and Douglas M. Bailey of Chicago, Illinois; four grandchildren, Nathan (Kate) Hose and Cassie Hose, both of Goshen and Iris and John Bailey both of Zionsville; a great-grandson, Marshall Grotrian, Goshen; and a sister. A Goshen resident since 1986, Mr. Bailey graduated from West Newton High School, West Newton, Pennsylvania. He enjoyed photography and won Best of Show at the 2010 Elkhart County 4-H Fair. A self taught computer tech, he was webmaster for United Cancer Services of Elkhart County. He also enjoyed off road racing with his Jeep "Sodbuster". Private family services were held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. His body has been donated to the University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor. Memorial contributions may be given to United Cancer Services of Elkhart County.
