Wilhelm Wegener

Wilhelm Wegener, 85, of Goshen, died at his home Saturday morning, July 13, 2013. He was born November 6, 1927 in Glusingen, Germany to Adolf and Erna (Rank) Wegener. He married Elfrieda Komm March 18, 1946 in Jesteburg, Germany. She preceded him in death December 8, 2008. He is survived by a son, Heinz (Nanalee) Wegener of Cumming, Georgia; four grandchildren, Scott (Jessica) Wegener, Quinn (Sarah) Wegener, Heinz (Mariana) Wegener and Jessica (Kenny) Kling; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Arnold Wegener of Goshen. He was preceded in death by a son, Dieter Wegener; two brothers; and three sisters. A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Goshen, Mr. Wegener worked many years for Duplex. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. An 11 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013, funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church. Pastor John Hickey will officiate. Burial will follow in Miller 8 Square Cemetery, Goshen.
