Wayne L. Wogoman, 82, of Goshen, died early Friday morning, December 27, 2013, at I.U. Health Goshen Hospital. He was born February 19, 1931 in Goshen to Charles J. and Alethah (Loy) Wogoman. On June 12, 1953 he married Caryl Jean Miller in Goshen. She survives along with three children, Karen (Joseph) Holt, Stafford, Va., Margie (David) Zentz, Goshen and Doug (Wendy) Wogoman, Middlebury; seven grandchildren; and two brothers, Ed (Sandy) Wogoman, Hot Springs, Ark., and David Wogoman, Elkhart. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold and L. Keith Wogoman. A lifetime Goshen resident, Mr. Wogoman graduated from Goshen High School in 1949. He was one of the first employees at Fidler's, Inc., eventually becoming the Vice President of Operations. He retired in 1990 after 42 years. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. One of his passions was flying, earning his instrument rating in his 50's. Mr. Wogoman was one of the founding members of Jefferson Community Church where he served as a deacon. He loved the Lord, his children and grandchildren. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, December 29, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. An 11:30 a.m. memorial service will be conducted on Monday, December 30, 2013, at Jefferson Community Church. Pastor Ron Spyker will officiate. A private graveside service will be conducted at Violett Cemetery, Goshen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Jefferson Community Church.
