Wayne L. Weaver, 83, died Tuesday night, January 12, 2010, at Goshen General Hospital where he had been suffering from a short illness. He was born in Kosciusko County on May 25, 1926, to the late Floyd and Goldie (Miller) Weaver. He lived in Elkhart County his entire life. He married Ruth Bolsinger on July 10, 1948, in Bremen, she survives. An electrician for CTS, Elkhart, he also worked as a rural postal carrier in Elkhart, he retired in 1993. Mr. Weaver was a life member of the Goshen VFW post #985, and also a member of Goshen Rental Association. He is survived by three daughters, Louanna (LaMar Davis) Stankovich, North Webster, Colleen Lawhorn, Goshen, Tina (Debra Bussard) Weaver, Indianapolis; one son Kent Weaver, Goshen; two brothers, Dale Weaver, Nappanee, Gerald (Grace) Weaver, Elkhart; one sister, Edith Sautter, Goshen; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Weaver; a brother-in-law, Harvey Stump; and one sister-in-law, Rosalie Weaver. Friends may call on Friday, January 15, 2010, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10 a.m. funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home on Saturday, January 16. Pastor Robert G. Schallhorn, of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elkhart, will be officiating. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee. Memorials may be made out to the Goshen Center for Cancer Care.
