Wayne E. Schertz

Wayne E. Schertz, 84, of Goshen, died, Sunday, November 8, 2020, of advanced prostate cancer.  He lived a good life in Christ.  As a youth he loved his award winning Guernsey cow while in Future Farmers of America.  His greatest life experience came as a young adult serving in the Mennonite Church PAX service with refugee relief work in Jordan.  Later in life he and his wife made it to all seven continents as they both shared a love of travel.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Agnes; a son, Kahlil (Rachel) Schertz; a daughter, Mona (Bill) Seaver and four grandchildren, Ellie (Josh Yoder) Schertz, Isaac Schertz, Nate Seaver and Ryan Seaver as well as four siblings, Dale of Nappanee, Cliff, Louanne and Linda from out of state.

He will be missed.  As a memorial you could say a prayer for the human rights of the Palestinians at this time in history and make a donation to Mennonite Central Committee at https://mcc.org.

A private family service will be held.
