Wayne F. Hostetler, 80, of Goshen, died Saturday night, December 18, 2010, at Courtyard Healthcare. He was born in Emma Town on June 29, 1930 to Earl and Bertha (Smith) Hostetler. He was married to Mary Ann Hostetler on April 5, 1953. He is survived by five children, David (Patricia) Hostetler of Paris, Illinois, Ruth (Alan) Sharpe of Kitchner, Ontario, Canada, Sheryl Hostetler of Goshen, Phyllis (LoWayne) Yoder of Sturgis, Michigan, and Danell Hostetler of Westfield; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter Hostetler of LaGrange; and a sister, Evelyn (Frank) Kauffman of Goshen. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Leland Hostetler. Mr. Hostetler lived in Kokomo most of his life and was self employed as an interior and exterior decorator. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church. He sang with several south gospel quartets and was a longtime song leader. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 21, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2010, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home with Pastor Marlin Beachy of Rich Valley Mennonite Church, Kokomo, officiating. A private family burial will be take place in Yoder Cemetery, Shipshewana. Memorials may be given to Gideons’ International.
