Wayne E. Hartman, Sr.

February 7, 1934 — January 27, 2016

Wayne E. Hartman, Sr., 81, of Goshen, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at IU Health Goshen Hospital.

He was born February 7, 1934 in Peru to Roscoe Raymond, Sr., and Erma Louise (Mullett) Hartman.

On June 9, 1956 he married Lula Belle Lower in Goshen. She preceded him in death August 20, 2014.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeralyn (Robert) Herr of Florida; three sons, Wayne (Julie) Hartman, Jr. of Fowler, Mark Hartman of Cromwell and Don (Tiffany) Hartman of Middlebury; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Dunker of Elkhart.

Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Mr. Hartman moved to the area following his service in the U.S. Army in Louisiana from 1956-1958. He worked as a welder at several local manufacturers before retiring as foreman from Med. Tech.

He was a life member of the Goshen DAV# 15 and a member since 1982 of Foxwood Hills Campground Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and model trains.

Friends may call Saturday, February 6, 2016, from 3 until the 5 p.m. memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
