Wayne "Sonny" Brown

Wayne "Sonny" Brown Wayne "Sonny" Brown, 70, of Goshen, died Wednesday afternoon, September 13, 2006, at his home.  He had been ill the past year. He was born January 1, 1936, in Goshen, to Kenneth and Rosalind (Watts) Brown.  He married Wanda Coy on February 14, 1959, in Goshen.  She survives. Mr. Brown, a lifetime resident of Goshen, worked at Western Rubber for 30 years as a foreman in maintenance.  He retired in 1989. He suerved with the US Marines from 1955 to 1958.  He was a lifetime member of the DAV#15, the Syracuse Eagles, the Goshen Moose, the American Legion #484 in Millersburg. He is survived by his wife, Wanda; a daughter, Lisa Maas of Goshen, Indiana; three sons, Larry (Kitty) Brown of Millersburg, Indiana, Ty (Kelly) Brown of Goshen, Indiana, and Steve (Annette) Brown of Wakarusa, Indiana; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are three sisters, Rosemary (Virgil) Mumaw of Bradenton, Florida, Shirley Hall of Goshen, Indiana, and Susan (Jerry) Smith of Milford, Indiana; and two brothers, Gene Brown of Elkhart, Indiana and Jerry (Ann) Brown of Goshen, Indiana. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Wayne Allen Brown and two brothers, Jay and Jackie Brown. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, September 15 at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m., service will be conducted on Saturday, September 16, 2006, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Ed Geleske fo the Wakarusa United Methodist Church will officiate.  Cremation will take place after the service.  Burial will be at a later date in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.  Memorial contributions may be made to Donor's Choice.
