Wanda Sue Oswald, 81, of Goshen, died unexpectedly Friday, April 3, 2026 at Goshen Hospital.
She was born November 21, 1944 in Peru, Indiana to Elbert and Imogene (Roberts) Phillips.
On December 20, 1985 she married Lynn E. Oswald in Goshen. He died on December 25, 2024.
Survivors include five daughters, Paula Anderson and Christine Cann, both of Illinois, Kathy (Richard Vanacker) Taylor of Elkhart, Alice (Scott) Goodwin and Sharon Simcox both of Goshen; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; her fiancé, Tom Mosier of Bristol.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Perry Phillips and Paul Phillips; and her sister, Chris Gubbie.
Wanda spent her professional years contributing to the local workforce at Clazzico Leather Seat Covers, where she was known for her hard work and reliability.
Beyond her career, Wanda’s life was anchored in her faith. She was a long-time member of 1st United Methodist Church in Elkhart and in recent years, found a welcoming spiritual home at New Testament Bible Church in Jimtown. She found great joy and community at the Salvation Army, where she spent many afternoons playing games and enjoying the fellowship of dear friends.
Services will be Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m., followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service. Pastors Harold Gingerich and Amanda Moseng will officiate
Burial will follow at Eden Cemetery, Topeka.
Memorial gifts may be directed to the Salvation Army of Elkhart and Goshen.
