Wanda Lou Mangas 86, of Goshen, died Sunday evening, December 28, 2014 at her home. She was born February 8, 1928 in Portland, Indiana, to Gerald and Gladys (Earhart) Gamester. On April 16, 1945 she married Bob Mac Mangas, Sr. in Greencastle, Indiana. He died March 17, 2003. Survivors include two daughters, Pamela (Daniel) Jorae, of Greenville, Michigan, and Bobbie (Ronald) Miller, of Goshen; two sons, Bob Mangas, Jr., of Goshen, and Gerald Mangas, of Crossville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Mike (Debbie) Keller, Jacqueline Keller, Jeremy (Bethany) Mangas and Joshua Mangas; one great-grandson, Riley Keller. Wanda was raised by her grandparents, Bertha and George Earhart since the age of two in Portland. She was a 1945 graduate of Portland High School. A Goshen area resident since 1969, Wanda worked in the accounting dept. of LaSalle- Deitch, now known as LaSalle- Bristol, retiring in 1993 after 16 years of service. She was a member of the Community Church of Waterford, the Eastern Star, Elkhart Luncheon Optimist Club and the Goshen Moose Lodge. She enjoyed bowling in many area leagues and time spent gardening. Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 funeral service will be held. Rev. Mike Overpeck will officiate. Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial gifts be directed to the Community Church of Waterford or Goshen Salvation Army.
