Wanda L. Lambdin, 60, of Goshen, died Wednesday afternoon, August 24, 2011 at IU Health Goshen Hospital. She was born in Artie, West Virginia, on November 16, 1950 to the late Oran and Edith (Moles) Griffith. She is survived by a son, James Lambdin of Elkhart and Susan Lung of Goshen; a granddaughter, Paige Lung; three sisters, Carol (Thomas) Sowders of White Oak, Tennessee, Glenda Treadway of West Virginia, and Gladys Stover of North Carolina; two brothers, Stevie Moles of Elkhart and Oran Griffith, Jr. of Goshen; and former husband, Jimmy Lambdin of Goshen. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha Mae Jones and Yvonne Jackson. A longtime Goshen resident, Mrs. Lambdin worked seven years for Homecrest. She also worked for KIK. She earned an Associate's degree from Ivy Tech as a medical assistant. A member of River Oaks Community Church, she volunteered at Ten Thousand Villages and The Window. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping and animals. Friends may call 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, August 28, at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 29, 2011, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Miller of River Oaks Community Church officiating. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to The Window or The Post.
