W. Thomas Cripe, 62, of Goshen, died at his home Wednesday afternoon, January 10, 2007. He was born November 29, 1944, in Goshen, Indiana, to William and Dora (Swihart) Cripe. He married Janice K. Weaver on July 11, 1964, in Goshen. She survives. A 1963 graduate of Wakarusa High School, Mr. Cripe lived in this area all of his life except for seven years between 1964 and 1971 when he lived in Cassopolis, Michigan. He retired in November 2006 from Bayer Corporation (formerly) Miles Laboratory) in Elkhart. He was a member of the Wakarusa Missionary Church. He is survived by his wife, Janice; three sons, Loren (Sheila) Cripe and Brent (Jennifer) Cripe, both of Wakarusa, and Randy (Andrea) Cripe of Bremen; a daughter, Dawn (George) Fattal of Goshen; and ten grandchildren, Heather, Kelsey, Cami, Cody, Trevin, Jason, Kyle and Kaylee Cripe, and Ryan and Stephanie Fattal. Four brothers also survive: Ron (Sue) Cripe and Al (Mary) Cripe, both of New Paris, Cal (Kendra) Cripe of Elkhart, and Steve (Teresa) Cripe of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Elizabeth Clouse in April 2000. Friends will be received 1 to 7 p.m., Sunday, January 14, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 15, 2007, funeral service will be held at the Wakarusa Missionary Church. Rev. David Dyck and Rev. Wes Bontrager will officiate. Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children or Ribbon of Hope, Inc.
