Vivian J. Spurlock

Vivian J. Spurlock, 76, of Goshen,  died Thursday, June 25, 2020, at Goshen Hospital.

She was born October 31, 1943, in Centerville, Indiana, to Wilbert and Missouri (Combs) Black.

On January 9, 1960 she married Kenneth Spurlock in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.

He survives along with two children, Patricia Kaye (Scott) Smith and Tim (Reama) Spurlock, both of New Paris; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five siblings, Gus (Darlena) Black, Wilbert Jr. (Sue) Black, Joan (Thomas) Fouch and Bonnie Jones, all of Morehead, Kentucky and Palmer Black of Culver; as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Whitt and brothers, Otis, Dennis and Kenneth Black of Morehead, Kentucky.

Vivian worked at Goshen Rubber and enjoyed flowers and gardening.  She was a member of Prairieview Missionary Church and participated in Indiana Right to Life.  She was very devoted to her family.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 28, 2020, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where an 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 29, funeral service will be held.  Pastor Phil Jerome will officiate.

Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Prairieview Missionary Church or American Red Cross.
