Vivian B. Holderbaum, 90, of Syracuse and formerly of Goshen, died at her home Monday morning, July 29, 2013. She was born April 5, 1923 in Goshen to Dewey Lynn Martin and Zelda (Spry) Ware. She married Milo E. Holderbaum Dec. 20, 1941. He died April 25, 2001. She is survived by two sons, Robert (Debbie) and Jack (Evelyn) Holderbaum, both of Syracuse; a daughter, Bonnie (Frank) Kahn, Leesburg; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, John Ware; her husband and three brothers, Cleo Martin and Richard and Harry Junior Ware. A longtime Goshen resident, Mrs. Holderbaum was a member of People's Bible Church where she showed her love for others by praying for them. She assisted her husband in his home construction business. She loved being a homemaker, caring for her children and grandchildren. In her younger years she enjoyed camping and fishing. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10 a.m., Thursday, August 1, 2013, funeral service will be conducted at People's Bible Church, Benton. Pastor John Randolph will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to People's Bible Church.
