Vivian Frey

Vivian Frey, 84, of Goshen, died Wednesday morning, July 9, 2014, at IU Health Goshen Hospital where she had been the past week. She was born August 14, 1929 in Goshen to Emmert Cecil and Merian (Stuart) Roose. On December 23, 1951 she married William "Owen" Frey at the West Goshen Church of the Brethren. He died April 6, 2009. She is survived by four children, Diane Frey, Michael Frey and James (Christine) Frey, all of Goshen and David (Julie) Frey of Middlebury; four grandchildren, Jessica and Anne Frey, Karmen (Kurt) Sutton and Andrew Frey. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers, Robert and Donald Roose. A lifetime Goshen resident, Mrs. Frey graduated from Goshen High School in 1947. She was a longtime member of West Goshen Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed crossword and other word puzzles and camping as part of Starcraft Camping and Elkhart County Campers and Hikers Association. Friends may call on Saturday, July 19, 2014, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., funeral service at West Goshen Church of the Brethren. Pastor Norm Replogle will officiate. Burial will follow in West Goshen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to West Goshen Church of the Brethren.
