Virginia "Ginger" L. (Yoder) Peich

Virginia "Ginger" L. (Yoder) Peich, 60, of Elkhart, died Saturday afternoon, July 28, 2007, at Elkhart General Hospital.  She had been ill since January 2006.               She was born in Goshen, on December 27, 1946, to Mark and the late Elaine "Susie" (Plank) Yoder.               A 1965 graduate of Goshen High School, Ms. Peich worked in the Oslo Township Assessor's Office since 1989.  She had also worked part time for 14 years at various Seven Eleven stores in the area in addition to providing child care in her home for eight years.  She was involved in Rainbow Girls and Eastern Star where she served as Grand Officer.               Ms. Peich attended Ball State University in Muncie and Carter's Secretarial School in Elkhart.  She loved dogs, reading and working in the flower garden.               She is survived by her father, Mark Yoder; two sons, John (Wendy) Peich of Lake Zurich, Illinois and Jeff (Randi) Peich of Wyoming; five grandchildren; and a sister, Roberta (Jim) VonItter of Kansas.                           She was preceded in death by her mother, Susie Yoder and a brother, John "Jack" Yoder.                     Friends will be received 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, August 4, 2007, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.               An 11:00 a.m. memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at the funeral home.  Jan Huber will officiate.                     Private graveside services will be held in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.         Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
