Virginia Lee Benn

Virginia L. Benn, 74, of Goshen, was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, January 13, 2019, at Methodist Hospital, Merrillville, after a short illness.

She was born April 8, 1944 in Indianapolis to Robert E. and Dorothy (Miller) Hamm.

She married Terry L. Benn on April 3, 1965 in Elkhart.

He survives along with three sons, William (Lynette) Benn of Portage, Michigan, Terry (Angie) Benn of Three Rivers, Michigan and Lawrence (Kimberly) Benn of Goshen; 11 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Guffey.

Virginia’s passion was for children.  She cared for children in her home for many years and up until her illness in November.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 16, 2019, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier.
