Violet I. Miller, 89, of Goshen, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing.
She was born March 27, 1933 in Wadsworth, Ohio to Mose and Mary (Ressler) Hurst.
On June 6, 1954, she married Stanley M. Miller at First United Methodist Church, Goshen. He died July 6, 2006.
Survivors include two children, Jacqueline R. (Bryan) Heller of Goshen and Gregory L. (Carol) Miller of Holley, New York; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Ronald and Carl Hurst.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald, Leonard and Lawrence Hurst.
Mrs. Miller worked 54 years for Dr. Egli’s office in Topeka until her 85 th birthday.
She attended College Mennonite Church and was a devoted student of the Bible. Mrs. Miller, a very outgoing and sociable person, enjoyed knitting, crocheting and completing jigsaw and crossword puzzles.
No services are planned at this time. Burial will be at a later date in Violett Cemetery.
