Victor W. Beachler

Victor Wilson Beachler, 90, of Goshen, died late Tuesday night, June 9, 2009, at Greencroft Healthcare. He was born in Lorain, Ohio, on November 11, 1918, to harry and Ruth (VanAmman) Beachler.  He married M. Jean Morse on October 1, 1967, in Lorain, Ohio.  She survives. A longtime Lorain resident, Mr. Beachler worked in the shipyard there.  In 1988 he moved to the Pierceton/Syracuse area and worked in maintenance and carryout for the Syracuse Augsburgers.  In 2005 he moved to Goshen. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Regina (Dwayne) Wells of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred (Nile) Hill of Cartersville, Georgia, and Mary Porter of Birmingham, Ohio; and a brother, Daniel (Marge) Beachler of Lorain, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Smith and three brothers, Fred, Henry and John Beachler. There will be no visitation and no services at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paget Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association.
