Versa L. Gingerich

Versa L. Gingerich, 76, of Lakeland, Florida, died Tuesday afternoon, May 12, 2009, at Highland Lake Center, Lakeland, Florida. She was born in Sommerset, Kentucky, on July 6, 1932, to Daniel and Phoebe (Welch) Neal.  She married David E. Gingerich on July 22, 1961 in Ohio.  He preceded her in death on September 3, 1997. A homemaker, Mrs. Gingerich retired in 1986 from Old Mill Inn where she worked in the kitchen. She is survived by a son, Jimmy Gingerich of Goshen; three daughters, Linda (Kenton) Kilmer of Goshen, Debbie (Leighton) Hall of Lakeland, Florida, and Jeannie Sparklin in New Paris; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters and four brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister and three brothers. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 15, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Violett Cemetery, Goshen, with Chaplains Warren Swartz and John Piecuch officiating.
