Verna E. Hartman, 86, of Goshen, died early Sunday morning, October 21, 2007, at her home.  She had been in failing health the past five years. She was born December 18, 1920 in Foraker, Indiana, to Joel and Emma (Lehman) Weaver.  She married Ray Hartman on June 28, 1939.  He preceded her on September 28, 1960. A lifelong resident of Goshen, Mrs. Hartman was a member of the Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church where she was involved in church prayer groups and support of church missionaries. A graduate of New Paris High School, she worked in the inspection department at Western Rubber until her retirement in 1982. She is survived by two daughters, Beverly (Bernard) Lambright and Gale Ann (Homer) Marlow, both of Goshen; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Evangline Stouder of Osceola, Indiana. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.   Pastor George Nantz of the Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church will officiate. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Missionary Support at Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church.
