Verlin R. Chupp, 74, of Goshen, died Friday, November 16, 2018, at Goshen Hospital.
He was born January 4, 1944 in Goshen to Silvester and Sylvia (Miller) Chupp.
He married Karen Kuhns December 19, 1964 in Goshen.
She survives along with two sons, Michael (Deanna Beth) and Matthew (Sarah) Chupp and twin sister, Verda (Charles) Haney, all of Goshen. He had many nieces and nephews and his five grandchildren, Brooks, Sophia, Ava, Brady and Hannah, were the light of his life.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin and two sisters, Lila Christner and infant Carolyn.
Verlin attended Nappanee Missionary Church. He was an entrepreneur, he owned and operated the Mica Shop, was a farmer, enjoyed driving his semi and owned a “sprint” racing car.
Visitation will be Monday, November 19, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Nappanee Missionary Church where a 10 a.m. funeral service will be conducted by Pastors Harold Knight and Tim Veenstra.
Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Goshen Home Care and Hospice and Faith Mission, Elkhart.
