Verdella S. Krabill

Verdella S. Krabill, 87, of Goshen, died at Goshen General Hospital on Friday, October 15, 2010. She was born October 8, 1923, in Washington County, Iowa, to Edward and Edna (Boshart) Widmer.  She married Maurice E. Krabill on June 7, 1942, in Wayland, Iowa.  He died April 18, 1995. She is survived by two daughters, Joyce E. (Merle) Stutzman of Newton, Iowa, and Phyllis D. Krabill of Malvern, Pennsylvania; two sons, Don L. (Jurate) Krabill of  Elkhart, and David J. (Beverly) Krabill of Goshen; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Evelyn (Maynard) Goff of Washington, Iowa; and three brothers, Darwin B. (Dorothy) Widmer of Washington, Iowa, Norman B. Widmer of Cape Coral, Florida, and Larry B. Widmer  Moline, Illinois. She was preceded in death by a sister, Oletha Birkey; two brothers, Duane B. and Delmar B. Widmer; and a grandson, Nathan John Stutzman. A homemaker, Mrs. Krabill moved to the area in 1989 from Iowa and attended Berkey Avenue Mennonite Fellowship. Friends may call 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, October 17 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 19, 2010, funeral service will be held at Berkey Avenue Mennonite Fellowship.  Pastor Dan Schrock will officiate. Additional services and burial will be in Wayland, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Mennonite Mission Network or Heifer International.
