Vera Leona Olson-Shea Fradenburg, Goshen, 97, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Goshen Hospital.
She was born April 3, 1927 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to Ole Peter and Margaret (Richards) Olson-Shea. She married Willard Fradenburg on February 2, 1949, in Humbird, Wisconsin. He passed away in 1988.
Surviving Vera are children David (Cheryl) Fradenburg, Richmond, Daryl (Gail) Fradenburg, Goshen, and Mark (Sharla) Fradenburg, Middlebury; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Ellen Miles, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard, and 2 daughters, Rosanne Rial, and Mary Beall, and siblings Buddy, Henry, and Louie Olson.
Mrs. Fradenburg was a graduate of Fairchild High School in Wisconsin. She was a member of the Goshen DAV and VFW; her husband was a World War II Veteran and a recipient of a Purple Heart Medal. She also was a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship. She loved sitting in the golf cart when out on the golf course. Not only did she enjoy crocheting and reading, but Vera loved her candy, especially chocolate.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 25, from 2-5 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Monday, August 26, at 10 a.m., also at the funeral home. Pastor Terry Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery in Goshen.
Memorial contributions may be given to Cornerstone Christian Fellowship.
