Vera Astakhov

Vera Astakhov, 86, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at home.

She was born November 3, 1935, in Russia to Trofim and Anastasia Popov.

In 1964 she married Ivan Astakhov in Russia.  He died June 24, 2013.

Vera is survived by three children, Yelena (Leonid) Maksimchuk of Goshen, Tatyana (Gena) Udovenko of Elkhart and Andrey (Olga) Astakhov of Goshen; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a brother in Russia.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

A homemaker, Vera was a member of the Slavic Baptist Church, Elkhart.

Visitation will be Friday, January 14, 2022, from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
