Venona Maxine Smoker, 99, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on October 24, 2016 in Tuscon, Arizona.
She was born March 31, 1917 in Millersburg to Warren and Mae (Wiedman) Groff.
Venona is survived by her daughter Marlene Timm of Appleton, Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Wayne (Traci) Van Ooyen of Nashotah, Wisconsin, William Van Ooyen and Paula (Kenneth) Butzlaff, both of Tucson, Arizona, Terry (Jennifer) Timm of Neenah, Wisconsin, Pat (Mary) Timm of Brillion, Wisconsin; two sisters Alberta Hoogenboom of Elkhart, and Louise Leek of Palm Bay, Florida; 11 great-grandchildren, Kaylee (Robert) Agnew –LeMoine, Sawyer Van Ooyen, Branden, Jason, Johnathon, Christopher, David, Dan, Angelo (Angie) , Jesse and Mateo Timm ; and six great-great grandchildren, Natalia, Emily, Damien, Aiden, Arianna, and Ahlaya Timm.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Virgil Groff and Jacob Groff; a sister, Virginia Vaughn; and a daughter, Beverly Van Ooyen.
A Saturday, July 22, 2017, memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. A private burial will be held for family members at Rock Run Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Zion Community Church, Millersburg.
