Ursula M. Miller, 91, of Goshen, died Sunday evening, August 17, 2008, at Goshen General Hospital where she had been a patient for one week. She was born in Kalona, Iowa, on October 22, 1916, to John A. and Katie (Yoder) Swartzendruber. She married Annas Miller on February 2, 1936, in Kalona. He preceded her on October 25, 2002. A Goshen resident since 1942, Mrs. Miller worked at Oaklawn Center and Hospital from 1969 to 1999. She was a member of College Mennonite Church and volunteered for the Oaklawn Auxiliary and Goshen Care at Home Hospice. She is survived by two daughters, Marcia E. Miller of Goshen, and Karen Ventura of San Diego, California; three sons, Francis D. (Marcile) Miller and Galen D. (Sue Neeb) Miller, both of Goshen and Loren E. (Floy) Miller of South Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Lois Widner of Williamsburg, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Annas; a son, Stanley Ray Miller in 1940; and seven brothers, Urie, Harry, Melvin, William, George, John and Henry Swartzendruber. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 20 at College Mennonite Church in the Koinonia Room. An 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 21, 2008, memorial service, will be conducted at the College Mennonite Church. Pastors Klaudia Smucker and Gary Martin will officiate. A private family burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Oaklawn Foundation or Bethany Christian Schools or Goshen Care at Home Hospice.
