Twila J. Nafziger, 87, of Goshen, passed away early Monday morning, February 29, 2016, at Greencroft Healthcare after a decade long battle with Alzheimer ’s disease.
She was born June 15, 1928 near Orrville, Ohio to Harry and Esther (Hostetler) Hostetler.
On June 22, 1952 she married Myrl Nafziger in Smithville, Ohio.
He survives along with five children, Mark (Cleo) Nafziger of Logan, Utah, Ned (Jane Yousey) Nafziger of Canton, Ohio, Anne (Joseph Bertino) Nafziger of Schenectady, New York, Dan (Evie) Nafziger of Goshen and Jon (Carol Hurst) Nafziger of Crozet, Virginia; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Marian Hostetler of Goshen, Doris (Jim) Miller of Kidron, Ohio and Beth (Lee Roy) Berry of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A member of Berkey Avenue Mennonite Fellowship, Mrs. Nafziger graduated from Goshen College in 1950 with a degree in elementary education. After her children were older she ran a pre-school in Wadsworth, Ohio.
Friends may call Friday, March 11, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016, starting at 11 a.m. at Berkey Avenue Mennonite Fellowship.
A private burial will be in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorial contributions may be given to Mennonite Central Committee.
