Trudy Arlene Kauffman

Trudy A. Kauffman, 73, of Goshen, died Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born April 4, 1951 in Mishawaka to Merle R. and Stefanie (Antesberger) Kauffman.

She is survived by six children, Scott Kauffman, Elkhart, Laura (Jack) Runyan, New Paris, Steffanie (Zach) Stookey, North Webster, Cindy (Pete) Martin, Albany, Oregon, Kati Boyd, Indiana and Linda (Chance) Burkhead, LaGrange; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Stephanie “Darlene” Hill, Union, Michigan; and a brother, Robert “Bobby” Kauffman, Katy, Texas.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel M. Kauffman; and a brother, Joe Kauffman.

Trudy worked in customer service always helping people with a smile. She also worked as the clown “Tutti Fruitti” for children’s birthday parties. She enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hunting mushrooms and asparagus.

Trudy was constantly keeping her hands busy, whether it was painting, or crocheting blankets for each family member. She loved having a large family and each child, grandchild, and great-grandchild was near her heart.

Visitation will be Monday, October 28, 2024 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, with time for sharing beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Burial will take place at Rice Cemetery, Elkhart, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests gifts be made out to Yoder-Culp Funeral Home to assist with expenses
