Travis is the son of Jim and Lori Lindzy (Elkhart) and Roy and Mary Tyson (Goshen). He came into this world on August 31st 1977 at Elkhart General Hospital. He left us quietly in his sleep on March 22nd 2012. His cause of death is not certain, but it is believed that his heart just stopped due to ongoing health issues from a childhood accident. He was the only child of Lori and Roy, but had many brothers and sisters that he truly loved. He attended Elkhart Community Schools until junior high school when he then moved to Concord Community schools. Later in life Travis went back to school and just last week attained his associate's degree in liberal arts at State College of Florida, Manatee - Sarasota. He was planning on attending the University of Phoenix to obtain his Bachelor of Arts in Social Services. Other than his 2 children this was his crowning achievement and proudest moment. He was previously employed as a peer advisor and computer lab supervisor at the state college of Florida a job he was well suited for and loved. His world was his family. He was so very proud of them. With his soul mate Jasmine, daughter Arianna, son Angelo and Baby Boy his beloved Doberman, they created a thing of beauty. Travis never knew a stranger and loved being with people, from the owners of the gas station and dollar store; to the people he passed on the street. He considered them all friends. He loved playing pool, fishing, cooking (he was very good) and fixing things including items others would throw away. It was true that some people's trash could be other people's treasures. He is survived by soul mate Jasmine Martinez, daughter Arianna (Ari) and son Angelo (Lo Lo). His parents all of Elkhart and Goshen. Grandmothers Loretta Mast of Goshen and Dorothy Lindzy of South Bend. Sisters ReAnna Lindzy of Elkhart, Amanda Yeazel Curtis (Jim) of Goshen. Brothers Christopher Lindzy (Lora) of Three Oaks, MI, David Lindzy (Jessica) of Denver, CO, Elton Yeazel (Jessica) of Goshen.
