Tracie Diane Lambert

November 11, 1962 — October 31, 2022

Goshen

Tracie D. Lambert, 59, of Goshen, died Monday, October 31, 2022, at her son’s home.

She was born Nov. 11, 1962 in Goshen.

Tracie is survived by her mother, Belva (Berkey) Belcher, Goshen; her son, William (Samantha) Lambert, Elkhart; two granddaughters, Leena and Scarlett; and a brother, Louis (Tamyra) Lambert, Jr., Elkhart.

She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Lambert and two brothers, Alan Freeze and Scott Lambert.

Her greatest joy in life was being “Nana” to her grandbabies and mom to her son. She spent each Sunday pushing them on the swing in the back yard, watching a game or race on tv, or just hanging out playing with the new goodies she may have brought that day. Tracie would never show up anywhere, anytime without a bag of gifts. Whether it was full of treats for her granddog Johnny Blaze, or a new Colts outfit for one of her granddaughters. Tracie was a giver at heart and loved all animals, especially her cat, Taz.

Tracie was very involved in the community. She was a member of the Goshen Moose Lodge and participated in several annual fundraisers including the Compassion Walk and Leprechaun Leap supporting Cancer Resources for Elkhart County, the Turkey Stampede supporting the Faith Mission, and Bowl for Kids’ Sake supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters. Each year, Tracie brought countless people smiles by dressing as Pinkie D. Clown and as one of Santa’s elves.

Tracie was fun! She loved music, concerts and dancing the night away. She spent time at New Paris Speedway and found joy in a loud motorcycle or classic car. She never missed an event, and could be counted on for every wedding shower, baby shower, birthday party or holiday festivity. She was typically the most festively dressed in the room and always had a fun trinket to share with the kids. She also enjoyed spending time with her best friend, Krystal, whether it be helping at her bakery or preparing a float for the Mentone Egg Festival parade.

Tracie was a loyal employee of Berry Plastics for over 26 years.

A time of visitation will be held Thursday, November 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 7 p.m.

Memorial donations may be given to Cancer Resources of Elkhart County.
