Todd E. Cripe

Todd Cripe, 79, of Goshen, died early Saturday morning, June 14, 2008, at his home. He was born in Goshen, on March 9, 1929, to Everett Franklin and Dorothy May (Holcomb) Cripe.  He married Catherine “Cathie” Ernst on May 5, 1975, in Goshen.  She survives. Mr. Cripe, a manufacturing engineer, worked for Goshen Rubber for 41 years and as City Maintenance Manager for 15 years. A 1948 graduate of Goshen High School, he was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Goshen, Maplecrest Country Club and a lifetime member of the Moose and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. He is survived by his wife, Cathie; three daughters, Patricia (Tom) Hoogenboom, Susie (Steve) Hooley and Lisa Conder, all of Goshen; three sons, Todd (Lee) Cripe, Tim E. (Joy) Cripe, and David E. (Shari) Hooley, all of Goshen; 13 grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; and a sister, Willadene Tavallali of Goshen. He was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Cripe, and two sisters, Imogene Watson and Evelyn Artner. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 16, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and 9 to 10 a.m., Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Goshen. A 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2008, funeral service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Goshen.  Pastor Alan Griffin will officiate. Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be given to Care at Home Hospice, First Presbyterian Church or St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
