Thomas Michael Hoopingarner, 17, of New Paris, died Sunday, November 20, 2005, as the result of an auto accident in Noble County. He was born July 7, 1988, in Goshen, to Thomas A. and Judy (Chalk) Hoopingarner. He was a junior at Fairfield High School where he was involved in the “Tech Club”. He was also a 9 year member of 4-H. Mr. Hoopingarner attended the First Baptist Church, New Paris, and was involved in the church youth group. He had worked at Hacienda and Burger King. He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Judy Hoopingarner of New Paris, a brother, Anthony Hoopingarner of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and a sister, Alyssa Hoopingarner of New Paris. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Joan Chalk and Thecla Hoopingarner, both of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Hoopingarner and William Chalk. Friends will be received 3 to 5 and 6 to 8, Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 1:00 pm funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2005, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastors Stan Godfrey, New Paris Church of the Brethren, and Trent Hostetler, Youth Leader from First Brethren Church, New Paris will officiate. Burial will be in New Paris Cemetery, New Paris. Memorial contributions may be made to Victory Junction Camp.
