He was born Nov. 1, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio to Thaddeus and Sophie (Luczka) Gorski.
On Sept. 16, 1978 he married Karen Gorc at Notre Dame.
She survives along with a brother, Lawrence (Barbara) Gorski, Novato, California and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gorski earned a master’s degree in theology from Notre Dame and another master’s degree in social work from St. Louis University. He was a licensed clinical social worker with private practices in Bakersfield, and Palm Springs, California. Prior to moving to California he had worked at St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend.
After retirement he worked at Oaklawn and volunteered for Goshen Home Care and Hospice.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Elkhart.
Friends may call Wednesday, May 3, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1108 S. Main St., Elkhart, where an 11 a.m. memorial service will be conducted. Rev. Matthew Coonan will officiate.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.
Memorial gifts may be directed to Goshen Home Care and Hospice or Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
