Thomas "Tim" F. McGee, Jr., 66, of Syracuse, died Friday morning, June 7, 2013, at his home after a two year illness. He was born September 9, 1946, in Chester, Pennsylvania,. to Thomas Francis McGee, Sr. and Anna Bonnie (Campbell) McGee. On February 14, 1967 he married Eileen Marie McGee in Media, Pennsylvania. She survives along with six sons, Thomas "Tim" (Sheila) F. McGee, III of Syracuse and Pat, Bob, Brian, Sean and Danny McGee, all of Lehighton, Pennsylvania.; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a sister, Caryl (Tony) Casciato of Melbourne, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Christopher and a grandson, Owen Thomas. An area resident since 2002, Tim worked as a cabinet maker for Homecrest. Before moving to the area he drove for M.G. Industries in Pennsylvania. He served with the Navy in Vietnam aboard the USS St. Paul Flag Ship of the 7th Fleet as a fireman. He was a member of the John C. Peterson American Legion, Warsaw. He was an avid NASCAR fan of #14 Tony Stewart. In keeping with his wishes, his body will be cremated at Yoder-Culp Crematory A 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2013, memorial service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. John Veenstra of New Horizons Ministry will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Center for Cancer Care or Goshen Home Care and Hospice.
